Dr. Lawson, contributing author for EMRA Advocacy Handbook

Congratulations to Casey Lawson, MD, PGY-3, who is one of the contributing authors of the EMRA Advocacy Handbook, 5th Edition.

The Emergency Medicine Advocacy Handbook, 5th edition, was released in conjunction with the ACEP Leadership & Advocacy Conference in May 2019. This resource, which is posted online and presented as an audio book, lays the foundation for advocacy knowledge in the specialty. The book puts today’s health care policy climate into context and offer insight on how the changing political landscape can affect emergency physicians and their patients.

Dr. Lawson attended the 2018 ACEP Leadership and Advocacy Conference in Washington, DC, where she became involved and was offered
the opportunity to contribute to the Emergency Medicine Advocacy Handbook.
