Congratulations to the University of Kentucky College of Medicine students, faculty, and residents who were recently inducted in the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) National Medical Honor Society for the 2018-2019 academic year.
Selected from the Department of Emergency Medicine, were Michael Gleason, MD, PGY-2, one of three residents chosen, and Jonathan Bronner, MD, Assistant Professor and Associate Program Director, one of four faculty members chosen.
Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) is the national medical school honor society for students, faculty, and residents. Induction into AOA is a high honor, recognizing students not only who have had high academic achievement, but who have also demonstrated excellence in class leadership and service, community service and engagement, and scholarship and research endeavors. Only one of six of any medical school class achieves AOA induction. In addition, the UK AOA chapter can select three faculty and three to four residents for induction into AOA each year.
Congratulations Drs. Gleason and Bronner!
