Faculty and Residents' Scholarly Activities at 2016 CORD Academic Assembly

Several Emergency Medicine Department faculty, residents and staff were active at the 2016 CORD Academic Assembly held in Nashville, TN.  Dr. Doty was awarded the 2016 Michael P. Wainscott Program Director Award and Dr. Jonathan Bronner was a recipient of a 2016 Faculty Teaching Award.  Dr. Desai received a Longevity Award for five years of service to CORD and Paula Keyes received a certificate in recognition of her 2015-2016 Member-At-Large position on the Emergency Medicine Association of Residency Coordinators (EMARC) Executive Committee. Other faculty and resident scholarly activities are listed below.

Ashley Brown, MD, PGY-2, and faculty member, Dr. Will Sanderson’s CORD CPC Case submission, ST elevation myocardial infarction, was selected for the National Emergency Medicine CPC Semi-Final Competition. Ninety-two cases were submitted for the competition and all were blindly judged by at least five different members of the CPC Task Force. The case was presented at the Semi-Final Competition 

Linda Katirji, MD, PGY-1 attended as our program’s CORD Resident Representative and participated as one CORD’s resident twitter team.
