About Christopher Doty, MD FAAEM FACEP

Kings County Hospital/SUNY Downstate
ACEP Teaching Fellowship
I spent most of career in Brooklyn NY at a busy urban county, hospital. I have been a medical educator for my entire career and a Program Director for 15 years. I moved to Lexington in 2012 for family reasons and was fortunate to be offered a chance to lead the educational efforts for the Department of Emergency Medicine. I try to hold the residents to high standards and love seeing them succeed. I value learners in the relentless pursuit of excellence for themselves and their patients.
I chose UK because they had amazing pathology, a supportive chair, amazing people, and Lexington is absolutely beautiful. This program gave me all the tools I needed to train amazing residents and a supportive leadership. My wife and I also wanted to raise a family in a safe, beautiful spacious town.
Scuba diving, college basketball, travel, biking, and my family.
